Our vision is Jesus’ vision:

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” -Matt 28:19-20
OUR STORY
Founded in 2013 by a collective of touring musicians and creatives, our journey began with a shared calling: to center our lives fully around Jesus.
We saw a deep need to reach seekers, skeptics, and the disenchanted—those who felt overlooked or alienated by a church culture that often struggled to love the different. Inspired by Jesus, the "pioneer and perfecter of our faith" (Hebrews 12:1-2), we set out to build an authentic community that bridges these gaps through three intentional rhythms:
Inward formation in Christ,
Outward mission to our neighbors, and
Inclusive celebration together.
Believing that "when the righteous prosper, the city rejoices" (Proverbs 11:10), we live out this mission daily in Peoria, anchored by three simple yet profound commitments:

DISTINCTIVES OF AXIOM
Christological Interpretation of Scripture We view the entire Bible through the lens of Jesus Christ. He is the ultimate Word of God and the key to understanding the narrative of Scripture.
Scripture: "You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me..." — John 5:39–40 (See also: Luke 24:27, 44–45; Hebrews 1:1–3)
Priority of Jesus and the Sermon on the Mount We elevate the teachings, life, and ethics of Jesus—specifically the Sermon on the Mount—as the definitive picture of how God desires us to live.
Scripture: "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock." — Matthew 7:24 (See also: Colossians 2:6–7)
Relational Community We believe the Christian life is not meant to be lived in isolation. We practice deep, authentic fellowship, carrying one another’s burdens and sharing our lives.
Scripture: "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." — Acts 2:42 (See also: Romans 12:10, 15–16)
A Call to Be Peacemakers Following Jesus means actively choosing the path of peace, reconciliation, and active love rather than retaliation, reflecting God's reconciling heart to the world.
Scripture: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." — Matthew 5:9 (See also: Romans 12:18, 2 Corinthians 5:18–19)
Rejection of Nationalism Our ultimate allegiance belongs exclusively to the Kingdom of God, transcending earthly political power, flags, and nationalistic idolatries.
Scripture: "Our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ..." — Philippians 3:20 (See also: Revelation 7:9, John 18:36)
Shared Spiritual Rhythms of Life We lean into intentional, shared practices—such as gathered worship, prayer, breaking bread, and rest—to shape us spiritually together.
Scripture: "Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together... but encouraging one another..." — Hebrews 10:24–25
Geographical Missional Living (Loving Our Neighbors) We are sent out to love, serve, and invest in our local neighborhoods, believing that God has purposefully placed us where we live to be a blessing to our city.
Scripture: "Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper." — Jeremiah 29:7 (See also: Matthew 22:39, John 20:21)
THEOLOGY
We place our faith, trust, and hope in:
Jesus Christ: Fully God and fully human, whose life, death, and resurrection anchor our story.
The Good News of the Kingdom: Jesus’ invitation that the Kingdom of God is open and available to all who desire it.
The Triune Life: Living out a transforming relationship with the Father, Son, and Spirit—experiencing life on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Ongoing Renewal: Our relationship with God, through which we are increasingly freed from the power of sin and transformed to love His will until Christ returns.
Rooted in the Anabaptist tradition, we center our identity on following Jesus—including His call to love our enemies. At the same time, we practice a communal hermeneutic of Scripture, welcoming theological diversity and meeting one another with grace wherever we are on our spiritual journeys, just as Jesus did.
