Axiom Kids’ Mission
5 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. 6 And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to the commands that I am giving you today. 7 Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. 8 Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. 9 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
It is our desire to love and serve the children of our church family by expressing and demonstrating what it means for Jesus to be the axiom (self evident truth) of their life. Our children, just like adults, see and encounter God through real life experiences. One of our greatest privileges is to be in community with our kids here at Axiom Church. In fact, “Jesus said, Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children." We could learn a thing or two from our children by engaging in deeper relationships, serving others (including those outside of the church; classmates, teachers, etc.), and through learning scripture together with both church and family. We recognize that our true mission is to foster our children’s growth, faith and love for God as He works in both theirs and our daily lives. To enable such growth, we must partner with families and work together as a healthy body to graft our children into the work of the Gospel, not just during our gatherings but also throughout our daily rhythms.

Kids’ Gathering Descriptive
Our goal above all is to show our children love as Jesus has shown us. We are to provide a safe and secure environment so that parents know they are leaving their children in the hands of protecting and caring teachers and volunteers. Our children area has a total of 4 classrooms. These classrooms are titled: Nursery, Toddler, Preschool, and Elementary. Also apart of our ministry is our check in volunteers. These volunteers are responsible for setting up, greeting and assisting in the check in and out process while also serving as guardianship to the door that give access to the classrooms.
Children ages 0-1 will be in our nursery, children 2-3 will be in our toddler classroom, children 4-5 will be in our preschool classroom and lastly, children 6 and up will be in our elementary classroom. Each classroom has its own agenda and serves our children dependent on their necessary needs to nurture growth in God.
Our vision for our nursery is to provide loving and caring volunteers and teachers where they will provide there watch, awhile caring for the babies needs. This classroom does not have a set curriculum or agenda.
Our vision for our toddler and preschool classrooms are to provide the space for students to engage with each other while learning and having fun! Just like the rest of us we will ask our kids to learn and participate in activities and short lessons that prepare them for the day or months message. These lessons are derived from Group Curriculum which is designed to engage kids ages 2-5 . Both classrooms are equipped with age appropriate toys and activities for the children to partake in play together. We believe this teaches our children the importance of community and togetherness. As Jesus invites us always to care for others, our goal is to show and teach our children the importance of just that.
It is our desire in our Elementary classroom that the children make connections and realizations through meaningful experiences while learning what it means to be a disciple of Christ. Each week, our kids will learn a new bible story and “big idea.” The big idea is usually attached to a bible verse. This is how we uniquely teach our children scriptures, how to memorize them, and how to implement them in world connections to the lesson being learned. During our gatherings, we will begin our service in fellowship with one another. Through playing games, and various craft making the children will learn the importance of gathering in community together. After this, we will partake in worship. The children will come together as a large group and follow along in movements. Each service is equipped with a lesson. The curriculum being used is Open Network which usually consists of an eight week series. The teachers are to engage with the children and teach on the particular bible story being shown that week. We believe in creating a high energy, fun atmosphere while learning and exploring the word of God.
